Well...

Not sure what is going to happen next here now that Megaupload is no more. I used Megaupload exclusively, so everything is gone. Of course, I still have all the original files, but I don't know if I want to reupload them elsewhere just yet.

Please stand by.
This blog is not dead.

I am so sorry.

The US gvt is clearly working well outside the law, one has to hope major lawsuits are in the works so that folks can retrieve their personal files!

yeah.. i weighed the other options.. obviously you can do what you want, and since your collection is pretty manageable another file host isn't a bad idea. but i would also encourage everyone who shares japanese music to unite in one community (jpopsuki). would love to see your contributions there. torrents are not as cool or efficient as running a place like this, but to come together in a community with like interests would be cool. of course, new releases and pop are in the highest demand there. but you can absolutely find a little of everything there and with a little time and a good collection, it can become the home of all this cool shit too. regardless, i'll be following what happens here. best of luck. voodoovault

Shit sucks, to say the least. But as ECno8 said - re-uploading the stuff onto a different filehost is managable, albeit a major pain in the ass.

Some sort of community for this kind of stuff would be super rad! As for myself, my connection is so terribly crappy I don't think I'd be of much help w/ torrent 'n' such over @ Jpopsuki. But maybe a forum á la Waxidermy or a shared blog á la Same Hat would be something to consider?

Bad week for the music blog world. You'll get it going again though. The Jpopsuki idea isn't bad. It's a great community but it is severely lacking in many areas and you could totally help! Best of luck. Still following.

I would definitely be willing to help re-up these zips (I have most) if that's what you decide to do.

This is an essential archive-- the net needs it.

Best,

Damn. I'll be checking back.

There's been a lot of talk about alternatives (forum use, torrents) for sharing dialogue/OOP or unavail stuff like this. You could 'ask the crowd' and maybe you'll get some idea of where to go next.
